About the Role

Geotechnics….it’s been in the name since 1983. We deal with the engineering and environmental interaction between earth materials and the built environment. We work with soil, rock, groundwater and other man made materials to help ground truth and understand the site-specific engineering behaviour beneath our feet. What you'll do:

Our Project Engineers are involved in, take responsibility for and management of all aspects of our projects. . From the point of award with client liaison Project Engineers work on setting up projects to ensure the most efficient programme and methods of investigation are realised. Project Engineers produce health and safety documentation, a programme of work and together with management they ensure the right people and the right equipment and plant are organised.  Where resource allows the Project Engineer will work alongside a designated Site Engineer who will run the site works of a project collating and producing engineer borehole and trial pit logs, in situ test results and all the necessary SHEQ documentation.


Post site works they see the project through and arrange all laboratory testing and produce a report. Project Engineers are responsible for all quality, technical accuracy and commercial management and success of any given project. The role demands a good all-round knowledge of site investigation together with excellent communication skills. Being the main point of contact with the Client they will usually be working on a number of different projects all at various stages.

What we're looking for:

We are currently looking to recruit a knowledgeable, personable individual with training and over 5 years experience in site/ground investigation, Geology, Geo-environmental analysis, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or similar who:


  • Are suitably qualified

  • Are enthusiastic and keen to learn

  • Are able to create spreadsheets and other documents for effective reporting, communication and record-keeping

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
