About the Role

Geotechnics….it’s been in the name since 1983. We deal with the engineering and environmental interaction between earth materials and the built environment. We work with soil, rock, groundwater and other man made materials to help ground truth and understand the site-specific engineering behaviour beneath our feet. We offer value through our research, investigation, testing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation to reduce the risks associated with the unknowns at pre-construction stage.

What you'll do:

You will join our friendly team of site investigation specialists across the country as a Field Technician, working out of our Exeter office. You will aid our existing site supervisors and personnel with different site activities such as delivering site consumables, undertaking in situ testing, monitoring and labouring.


We work in a wide variety of sectors including utilities, industrial and commercial, education new build, highways and rail infrastructure, contaminated land redevelopment, onshore and offshore energy and environmental.  The base salary for this role is between £20,000 and £23,000 with and OTE of between £25,000 and £28,000 per annum.

  • Are enthusiastic and keen to learn

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
