Geotechnics Limited shortlisted for the Ground Engineering Awards 2016

Geotechnics Limited has been shortlisted as a finalist in the GI Specialist of the year and Health and Safety innovation categories of the 2016 Ground Engineering Awards.  Our joint submissions with ASH Group in the UK Project up to £1M category, and with United Utilities for Ground Investigation of the year have also been shortlisted.

Before the awards, all finalists will attend face-to-face judging by members of the 43-strong jury, made up of clients, contractors, consultants and academics including:

  • Ken Allison, director of allocation and asset management, Environment Agency
  • Mike Black, head of geotechnics, Crossrail
  • Roger Bridge, tunnelling manager, Balfour Beatty
  • Chris Dulake, engineering director, HS2
  • Rand Watkins, lead project engineer, London Underground

This year saw a record number of companies entering the Ground Engineering Awards and editor Claire Smith commented:

“The range of projects, initiatives and innovations within this year’s entries clearly demonstrate that the UK geotechnics industry is very active and growing, which is great to see. The volume of entries this year means that making it onto the shortlist for the 2016 event was no mean feat and I think the live judging stage will create some interesting discussions.”

The winners will be announced on 30 June 2016 at a glamorous lunchtime ceremony at the Hilton Park Lane, London, where over 800 of the industry elite will join together for an event filled with entertainment, celebration and networking.
