Geotechnics three peaks team
Congratulations to the team of engineers and geologists from Geotechnics who successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for charity.
They climbed Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland and Snowdon on Wales in 21.5 hours, well within their 24 hour target.
Those who took part are Stuart McRae, Mark Davis, Jack Dyke, Paul Hayes and Phil Hayes with team drivers Ray Macklin and Phil Bain.
Stuart and Paul had discussed attempting the challenge for many years but they finally decided to do it after Paul and Phil’s 79 year-old grandmother died in January following a fourth battle with cancer.
All the money raised will be donated to the St Kentigern Hospice and Palliative Care Centre in St Asaph where she was cared for.
They set up a Facebook page and raised well over £1,000 for the hospice which needs about £750,000 annually to continue it’s work.
